The project is being implemented through a Design-Build-Operate (DBO) contract, which consolidates all
responsibilities under a single contractor. The strategy includes:
- Comprehensive Planning and Diagnosis
- Conducting a thorough assessment of the existing water supply infrastructure and identifying key areas for improvement.
- Phased Infrastructure Upgrades
- Sequentially replacing and upgrading the water distribution network, storage tanks, and pumping stations to support 24x7 supply.
- Technology Integration
- Deploying advanced technologies such as SCADA systems for real-time monitoring, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) for energy efficiency, and Automated Meter Reading (AMR) meters for accurate billing.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborating with the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh (MCC), local communities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation and address any challenges that arise.
