The project is being implemented through a Design-Build-Operate (DBO) contract, which consolidates all
responsibilities under a single contractor. The strategy includes:
Comprehensive Planning and Diagnosis
Conducting a thorough assessment of the existing water supply infrastructure and identifying key areas for improvement.
Phased Infrastructure Upgrades
Sequentially replacing and upgrading the water distribution network, storage tanks, and pumping stations to support 24x7 supply.
Technology Integration
Deploying advanced technologies such as SCADA systems for real-time monitoring, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) for energy efficiency, and Automated Meter Reading (AMR) meters for accurate billing.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborating with the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh (MCC), local communities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation and address any challenges that arise.
